The Institute of Community Cohesion (iCoCo) was established in 2005 in partnership with four universities, Coventry University, De-Montfort University, the University of Leicester, and Warwick University. iCoCo was also supported by the then Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG). iCoCo soon became pre-eminent in compiling and conducting detailed reports and reviews with the aim of fostering community cohesion across the UK. This work was carried out by iCoCo Associates drawn from a range of academic and professional backgrounds.
Founding members and leading Associates of iCoCo continued to expand relationships and now include experts from the London School of Economics (LSE), Chicago University and Georgetown University. We have also established links with registered charities, major corporations and institutes in the UK and overseas. This wider scope and collective approach effectively combines local, national as well as global insights.
iCoCo Associates draw on high-level expertise to conduct innovative forensic level cohesion reviews to develop understanding and appreciating diversity (UAD) of human societies to encourage good relations whilst combatting increasing animosity between people. iCoCo Associates also specialises in ground breaking professional HR and management consultancy services empowering organisations keen to engage and promote cohesion, diversity and inclusion. Exceptionally, iCoCo Associates provides all services to charities, and community organisations on a not-for-profit basis.
